The software market is confronting with two upcoming web browsers these days. Both the web browsers, firefox 3and Opera9.5 have their own pros and cons. Here we will chat about the features of both. Mozilla firefox 3 is third version of Firefox family. This web browser is famous for its strong security. From security point of view firefox 3, leaves behind even most trusted web browser Internet explorer.
Now,first we concentrate on the firefox 3 features, which include its good look, an ability to tag bookmarks, ease of use and last but not the least its ability to restore a session. This new version includes new security features like complex anti phishing tools. Firefox 3 conceals the content of web pages that are supposed to be fake and warn you when entering pages that distribute malware and access a security certificate when you click on address bar. Firefox 3 allows multiple tabs on a single window.
Windows Vista Firefox 3 uses lesser amount of memory which leads to less memory fragmentation. It uses jemalloc function which cut down memory usage. Another attractive feature is cycle collector, which hunts any unused memory areas.
Earlier Opera versions were not free, but Opera 9.5, is a total free version, that is designed to support variety of platform like mobile phones and set top box. Even Opera 9.5 provides protection against malicious contents. It uses a list of online fake databases maintained by user community named as HauteSecure.
Memory usage of Firefox 3 becomes more important of we want to store some graphical pictures on the browser. Firfox 3 decompresses a graphical picture up to 100 kilobytes. Animated GIF files can be stored as 8 bit pallet instead of 32 bit pallet. It initially stores pictures files uncompressed for a short while and then store it in compressed form.
Opera 9.5 has another attractive feature of memory caching. It stores the picture files in turbo mode and makes scrolling of pictures very fast. Although this features use 3 times more memory in contrast with non turbo mode. Another eye catching feature of Opera 9.5 is ‘quick find’, which allows you to search a web site visited earlier.
Firefox 3 provides 23 security vulnerabilities, while Opera 9.5 provides only 14 security vulnerabilities. Firefox 3 takes up more than 160mb of memory, which is a considerable total, while, Opera used only 98mb of memory with the same pages open. When you open a new tab Opera 9.5 provides you an option to make a choice among 9 of most favorite pages.
At the crux, we can say that choice of a web browser is entirely a personal preference and browsing style. Every web browser has its own astonishing features. A user can choose any suitable web browser.

An IP change is still necessary despite all the security settings that your Internet browser can offer. And at this point in time, the security of the Internet browsers is not really fit to protect your overall Internet privacy. The latest versions of the popular browsers have added more features for compatibility and add-ons and speed. There is not much improvement, however, in the features that promote protection for our privacy and personal information.
The popular Internet browsers today, with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox leading the bunch, focuses more on the compatibility and speed features of the browsers. Enabling JavaScript environment in a fast loading pace seems to be one of the most important standard features of a good browser. All browsers are gunning for points in this regard. Firefox and Chrome seem to be doing well in this case, most specifically Google Chrome which is hailed as the fastest-loading browser among the popular ones.
Despite the marvel of its speed, however, Google Chrome loses out in terms of features and compatibility. Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari lead in points when it comes to user-friendly features and add-ons. There really is no lack of choice in the collection of Internet browsers available for us users. All we need to check with them is their speed, compatibility, and convenience features and we’ll have our answer as to which browser to choose.
There is something missing, though. With the importance of Internet privacy rising among the Internet users, there is great demand in enabling privacy and security features in the browsers. So far, Firefox and Internet Explorer has enabled InPrivate browsing mode in its latest versions. Still, there is no guarantee as to the degree of protection that this feature can give us when we are browsing online.
IP change and anonymous browsing is still the top answer to the question of Internet privacy and protection. In hiding or changing our IP address, we can hide our real location when we browse online, fending off malicious attackers who are out to steal our identity and accounts. Internet browsers have no real protection against hackers who can spin off their own versions of viruses and spyware to control our computer system, and our browser and private information along with it. On the contrary, with the personal data, the browsing history, and the cookies we may have unknowingly stored within the browser, we are only at more danger than we are safe.
With anonymous browsing and changing our IP, our personal information and identity are more secured. Our IP address is what malicious users and hackers are really looking for in order to capture our data, so it is our IP we should watch out for. The Internet browsers we have can only contribute so much, but not enough, for our Internet privacy. We will still be making records of what we are doing online. To counter off the hackers, browsing anonymously and an IP change is still necessary despite our chosen Internet browser.
