I am planning on getting a ps3, I currently have a xbox360.
I was looking at the 40 gig ps3–spiderman blueray dvd and 5 free blue ray dvds for 399.
I dont really care they took the backward compatability away i dont own any ps2 games any more.
I am basically getting a ps3 for a blueray player.
normal blueray players are 500, y not pay 399 and play games too
Is there any faults to the 40 gig ps3 like the red ring in the xbox360 hardware..
When i got the redring i couldnt watch dvds or play games for a month.
I also saw the 80 gig, motor storm and 5 free blueray dvds for 499
I am going to buy this at amazon.com is that a pretty decent site to buy from?

Hi, i looking to buy a new games console, but having trouble deciding.
Nearly all of my mates have a Xbox 360, and only few have a PS3. The Xbox 360 will cose more in the long run (wireless adapter, gold membership fees, etc) as the PS3 wouldn’t be as costly in the long run. I really like gears of war on the xbox 360 and PGR4 which are exclusive to the xbox 360 and there isn’t much games i like on the PS3 at the moment but there is some coming in the future i like (GTA 4, Gran turismo 5, Etc.) but some i like are avaliable on the Xbox 360. I also Prefer the Shinny PS3 Look. Another thing that is putting me off the Xbox 360 is that toshiba, that was helping with the HD dvd, Dropped out reciently, Making the Blueray player the more of a safer choice. The BlueRay is already on the PS3 and you would have to buy a HD dvd player which, in my eyes are DEAD!.
Please some One make up my mind!
